Abstract

The attention to the historical theme in art and composer’s creativity of the second half of the 20th and the 21st centuries has been clearly reflected in the direction of music authored by Belarusian and Polish composers. These works, which are somehow connected with the Middle Ages, occupy an important place, which is embodied in idiolexis, differences in content, genre and style. Characterised by a different nature, not only do they conceptually combine a certain group of works by authors from different generations and schools, but also represent important universal values in the culture of the 20th and 21st centuries.
