Walentyna Sobol

Professor Valentina Sobol researches the history of Ukrainian literature within a European context; she is the author of the first three textbooks for Ukrainian lyceums in Poland in the ‘To the Sources’ series, as well as the books 'From the Depths of the Ages', 'The Chronicle of Samuil Velichko as a Phenomenon of Ukrainian Literary Baroque', and '12 Journeys into the Land of Ancient Literature', 'The Memorial Book of Dmytro Tupatal', 'Let Us Not Be Fading Shadows', 'Ukrainian Baroque: Texts and Contexts', 'Oleksandr Koszyc and His Diary ‘With a Song Through the World’', and others. Under her editorship, 12 issues of the annual journal 'Studia Polsko-Ukraińskie' have been published.
