Abstract

The modern Belarusian writer Andrey Khadanovich is basically accepted by literary critics as a representative of elite poetry. However, some aspects of his creativity indicate that this label is not wholly accurate. Humour and irony in A. Khadanovich’s works are investigated in this article as a phenomenon of artistry bordering on kitsch.
