Abstract

This article describes the life, academic career, and extensive literary output of Aleksander Barszczewski, who wrote under the pen name Aleś Barski and was an outstanding Belarusian poet and professor at the University of Warsaw. The text describes his extensive academic achievements, his active work on behalf of the Belarusian minority in Poland, and his numerous published works and translations of fairy tales.
