Abstract
This article describes the life and academic career of Professor Paweł Sciacki, an eminent Belarusian linguist, on the occasion of his 85th birthday. The text provides a detailed account of his extensive body of work in the fields of Belarusian and Slavic linguistics, including research on dialects, regional vocabulary, and language culture. The author also highlights his immense contribution to academic education and his impressive scholarly achievements, culminating in the publication of over 630 research papers and books.
