Abstract

The article discusses the lives of the four Renier brothers, 19th-century enthusiasts of Belarusian culture, who left their entries in the famous 'Album' of Artemiusz Weryhi-Dorewski. The author analyzes these historical notes from 1858, highlighting the brothers’ close ties with the leaders of the Belarusian and Polish national-cultural movements in Vilnius at that time. The text also includes excerpts from poems and research findings concerning, among others, Father Józef Renier and his patriotic activities.
