Abstract
In the case of forming personal names in Belarusian dialects an important role may be given to mythological beliefs and social stereotypes that accompany humans in the process of learning gender and socio-cultural roles and are a type of marker of the personal status in society. A characteristic feature of a person in this case is the use of a common name with a predominantly transparent motivation of the name-significant, which not only indicates that subject to a specific gender-age group, but also synthesizes people's ideas about the essential characteristics of the individual at a particular social stage.
