Abstract

The aim of the article is to estimate the role and place of Polishlanguage works in the modern Belarusian literary space according to the comments of professional readers (literary critics, specialists in literature theory, etc.). In the article, there is an analysis of the statistics of literary translations from Polish between the years 2000 and 2015, and a review of the response to the books translated from Polish in the form of digests and reviews that appeared in Belarusian printed and electronic media. A special focus is made on the book that gained the most reviews from professional readers (the anthology of children's poetry ''The Coloured Cow'').
