Role of Virtual Museums in the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage

Abstract

A time-consuming and complex process of preserving historical and cultural heritage is meaningless without providing translation of this heritage, its actualisation, cultural continuity, which is offered by the work of museums. To date, one of the youngest and most interesting means of attaching values of history and culture to different audiences is a virtual museum. Virtual museums may have the most various forms and contribute to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
