Title Page of Modern Authors’ Books: National and Foreign Experience

Abstract

The article purpose is to analyse Belarusian and Polish title pages of the first decade of the 21st century and identify a common trend in their design. A brief description of the title page historical development in European publishing is presented, basic Belarusian and Polish standard requirements for formatting of title pages are outlined, and typical schemes of placing text and graphic elements are analysed. The results will contribute to the search for new ways of cooperation in the publishing field between Poland and Belarus as well as to the development of high-quality book publications.
