Abstract
The article undertakes the classification of the imagery in lyrical poems: the material sphere – the layers of the plot, characters and circumstances; the generalized semantic sphere – the layers of details, motifs, topos, archetypes, metalogical images. The characteristics of the imagery in the anthology 'Stroma' by U. Dubouka are revealed within the theoretical frame of this classification. Poems with personal, aesthetic and existential motifs are considered as three distinct groups. The semantic function of differing images as well as of dominant ones are defined in each motif group.
