Abstract

This review discusses Bogumił Ostrowski’s monograph titled 'Belarusian Dialects of the Grodno Region: Selected Issues', published in 2013 in Kraków. The book analyzes the specific characteristics of local East Slavic dialects, with particular emphasis on the historical adaptation of Polish loanwords. The text highlights detailed research on Grodno’s meteorological vocabulary using methods from the fields of etymology and ethnolinguistics.
