Abstract

This article is the first work devoted to the analysis of the essay 'From the Bloody Days' by Yan Niesluhovski (Yanka Luchina), despite the growing knowledge of Yanka Luchina’s legacy. Our main focus was to research problems, the ideological orientation, the genre, central images and characters, artistic details, text composition, artistic licenses, lexicon as well as syntax. As a result, the artistic and documentary value of Yanka Luchina’s works has been analysed.
