Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of Slavic languages on the phraseological and paremiological levels. The phraseology and paremiology of the Belarusian language, apart from Belarusian fixed expressions, contain a large number of international, common Slavic or East Slavic loan words as well as calques and semi-calques. The Polish language has become a source of borrowings, which yielded a great many fixed linguistic units or individual components of these units introduced into Belarusian.
