Abstract

The article describes, in quantitative terms, Polish lexicography with a focus on the Belarusian language. The main directions of its development have been presented in the historical perspective, taking into account several of its different branches (historical, onomastic, dialectal, didactic, phraseological and paremiographic, terminographic, ideographic, linguistic interference, general translation etc.). The material for the analysis comes from the author’s bibliography of lexicographic items collected by the method of text and library queries. It consists of 119 items and covers the years 1807–2014.
