Abstract
The author of the article considers the lexical and grammatical peculiarities of the translations of the New Testament into the Belarusian language based on the example of the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. Different translations into the modern Belarusian translations were taken into account for the research. The translations that were made by Luka Dekut’-Maley, Uladzislau Charniauski, Vasili Siomukha and the Belarusian Biblical Commission were analysed. The differences that arise because of different approaches to the translation, different source texts and different confessions are shown in specific examples.
