The origin and usage of the word combination 'tsiazhkaja artylieryja'

Abstract

The article attempts to outline the origin of the free and idiomatic word combination 'tsiazhkaja artylieryja' in Belarusian and its corresponding word combinations in Polish, Russian, English and French. The history of these word combinations has influenced the creation of their semantic uniqueness, on which, in turn, the degree of their interlingual equivalence depends.
