Abstract
This report documents dialectological fieldwork carried out in Podlasie in July 2025 by the Department of Belarusian and Ruthenian Studies at the University of Warsaw, during which students recorded 33 hours of conversations with 24 respondents. The aim of the expedition was to study transitional dialects between Belarusian and Ukrainian and to document local vocabulary and phonetic features in over a dozen localities. The trip enabled an analysis of the cultural identity of the region, which is currently the subject of debate regarding the status of the Podlasie language.
