Abstract

The article is devoted to the famous Hrodna’s historian – Józef Jodkowski (1890-1950), the founder and director of the Museum of Hrodna in the interwar period, when western Belarus was a part of Poland. Nowadays, the significance of his activity has a great influence on the scientific life in the city. Jodkowski’s articles, books and correspondence are rich sources for the research on culture and science in the interwar Hrodna.
