Abstrakt

This article is about the life and work of Franciszek Kuszel. He became known as a Belarusian military and political activist. He began his professional career during World War I as a non-commissioned officer of the Russian army and ultimately became a general and defense minister in the government of Belarus in exile. His activity during World War II has always been the subject of much controversy. Some people consider him a criminal and a traitor, while for others he is a national hero.
