Abstrakt
This article examines interlingual homonyms in Slavonic languages with regard to their origin. A typology of homonyms is developed on the basis of the genetic principle for three pairs of Slavonic languages (Belarusian and Southern Slavonic, Belarusian and West Slavonic, Belarusian and Eastern Slavonic). According to the authors, interlingual homonyms with general Slavonic stems are the most widespread ones, borrowed homonyms with different meanings are not so common, and words with homonymous affixes are the least abundant.
