Abstrakt

The article is dedicated to the history of esthetic and literary search for magical realism and to the attempts at describing its basic distinctive features. It offers a broader perspective of interpretation of modern Belarusian literature by means of an analysis of Ihar Babkou's novels in relation to features typical of broadly defined magical realism.
