Abstrakt

The article reviews solo concerts-motets from the 'Vilnius Tablature'. Turning to various sources (from the legacy of theorists of the 18th century to the works of modern researchers), which offer an interpretation of this genre, as well as thinking about poetic texts and the specificity of the musical style of the solo concerts-motets of the Baroque era, the author tries to determine the potential status and function of vocal works from the “Vilnius Tablature” in the sphere of public worship.
