Беларускія і польскія этналінгвістычныя даследаванні ў ХХІ стагоддзі

Abstrakt

The article describes the characteristics of modern studies of language in relation to culture and mentality on the basis of the analysis of the works of Belarusian and Polish ethnolinguists. The author identifies common features and differences in the methodology, terminological apparatus, and research sources of this subject. For both Polish and Belarusian ethnolinguistics of the 2010’s, it is typical to shift the scientific interests of researchers into the sphere of studying universal and national values and their linguistic representation. The author reaches the conclusion that ethnolinguistics is one of the priority linguistic areas in Poland and Belarus.
