Journal Information

„Acta Albaruthenica” (e-ISSN 2720-698X, ISSN 1898-8091) is the academic journal of the Department of Belarusian Studies at the University of Warsaw. Its first volume was published in Warsaw in 1998 (edited by Aleksander Barszczewski and Albert Bartoszewicz) and was followed by four volumes published in Minsk (2001–2005). In 2007, editorship was taken over by the Department of Belarusian Studies at the University of Warsaw. The journal is published regularly in Warsaw by University of Warsaw Press (Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, Smyczkowa St. 5/7, 02-678 Warszawa).

Aims & Scope

This is the oldest journal of its kind in Poland dedicated to promoting research on the interdisciplinary Belarusian studies, issues of Belarusian philology, the history and contemporary developments of Belarusian literature and culture, Belarusian linguistics, comparative language and literary studies, and Slavic studies with a Belarusian component.

Individual volumes contain articles, reviews, commentaries, and reports. The publications are authored by researchers from various Polish and international academic centers. Articles are published in Polish, Belarusian, and English.

The journal follows an open access model, accepts texts through open submission, and all articles undergo peer review and are indexed.
