ЭМІГРАЦЫЙНЫ ДАСЬЛЕДЧЫК УЛАДЗІМЕР ГЛЫБІННЫ ЯК ВЫКРЫВАЛЬНІК СТАЛІНСКІХ ЗЛАЧЫНСТВАЎ

Abstrakt

Uladzimer Hlybinny (true name Uladzimer Syadura), a long-term fighter for Belarusian independence was born on 11(24) December 1910 in Minsk. In the mid-1930’s he was arrested and sent to Siberia for three years. He co-organised the All-Belarusian Congress in Minsk under German occupation in 1944 and had to flee with the Germans before the Red Army. In 1945, together with others, he formed the Institute of Liberation of the Soviet Union. He is the author of the excellent book The fate of Belarusian culture under Soviet power, in which he described in detail how the Soviet regime fought Belarusian culture and language, providing numerous examples of destruction of the most important works of Belarusian literature; however, he omitted some important issues.
