Abstrakt

The dialogue with Polish culture, which included translations, editing, criticism, essay writing, popularization and personal relationships, continued throughout Bryl’s life. His personality and distinctively creative manner of writing developed in this versatile authorship. The relationships between the two neighboring nations also left their mark on the content of his works. Yanka Bryl’s experience is of great interest as an example of a Belarusian’s solution to their national identity and search of their place in the international community.
