Abstrakt

The article deals with the peculiarities of defence verbs in the aspect of causativity. The question of interrelation between such verbal categories as causativity, transitivity and voice is examined. Causative verbs are the principal lexical means for expressing causativity in the Belarusian language. The degree of verbal causativity can vary depending on the semantic and syntactic characteristics of verbs. The article presents different types of collocations involving Belarusian causative verbs of defence, stressing the importance of studying peripheral elements of this system.
