“Acta Albaruthenica” is the academic journal of the Department of Belarusian Studies at the University of Warsaw. Its first volume was published in Warsaw in 1998 and was followed by four volumes published in Minsk (2001–2005). In 2007, editorship was taken over by the Department of Belarusian Studies at the University of Warsaw. The editors are academics from the Department and the journal is published regularly in Warsaw.

The articles found in “Acta Albaruthenica” reflect topics relevant to Belarusian studies in the broad sense of the term. Its volumes focus on literary, linguistic, historical, and culture-related research. Reviews, analyses and reports are also featured.

The journal’s authors are scholars and researchers from a variety of academic centres in Poland and abroad. Papers are published in Polish and Belarusian with a short summary in English.

Publication is free of charge for all authors. The journal doesn’t have any article processing or article submission charges.

All articles in the “Acta Albaruthenica” undergo a double-blind peer review process. Articles are sent to at least two reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on their area or methodological expertise.
